CMB President Presents at ICD-10 Readiness Seminars
Cape Medical Billing is hosting a series of free seminars to prepare the healthcare community for the changes required by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid for in ICD-10. Rich Papperman, MBA, CHBME, President of Cape Medical Billing will be presenting at these hour-long seminars.
In his presentation, Papperman addresses key questions about training, system testing, and compliance issues. He also provides insight into how to identify potential changes to office workflow and business processes. October 1 scheduled date for ICD-10 implementation.
The first seminar was held May 21 at Greate Bay County Club in Somers Point. The second, a breakfast seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, at Avalon Links Golf Club in Cape May Court House, at 8 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served. Prior to opening Cape Medical Billing, Rich held executive positions with several major hospitals throughout the United States and also worked as a Physician's Assistant. He is a Certified Healthcare Billing and Management Executive (CHBME) and graduated from the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s in Business Administration. Regarded nationally as an expert in medical billing, Rich co-authored "Collected Wisdom - Best Practices for Third Party Healthcare Billing Companies" in conjunction with the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA). He is a currently a Codingline Expert Panelist (Podiatry), and a Board Member of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) where he has chaired the Education, Publications, and Marketing Committees. He is Chair of the ProVision Enhancement Committee for HealthPac billing software.
